Myosotis is the Latin name for the forget-me-not flower. When Carol Daniel, the Trust's founder, first visited Romania she vowed she would never forget the people she met. Our logo is the Myosotis flower to ensure we never forget.
The Myosotis Trust was founded to improve the physical, spiritual and mental health of the orphaned, the old, the young, the sick and the poor of Romania, particularly in Eastern Romania.

Hence the use of the forget-me-not flower in our logo and the name of the Trust.wpab68bd76.gif Carol spent her working life in the Health Service, taking early retirement from her job as Associate Director of Hillingdon Health Agency to dedicate her time to establishing the Trust.

Carol has made many visits to Romania and has based the Trust's activities in Barlad, a town of 69,000 people in eastern Romania, with one of the highest levels of deprivation in Romania. Carol has visited most hospitals, orphanages and schools in the area.
Much of the grinding poverty to be found in Romania is caused by a lack of family planning and related health problems. The Myosotis Health Centre in Barlad provides:

- Pre/Post Natal Care & Counselling
- Health checks for mother and baby
- Baby clothes, nappies, hygiene  products
- Family Planning advice and products
- Gynaecological checks
- General health checks
